See the countryside and taste some well crafted whiskey in Louisville, Kentucky.
Take a few days to experience the Kentucky Bourbon Trail

Indulge your passion for whiskey at one of the Louisville, Kentucky Whiskey Tours. Enjoy distillery tours from top makers including Jack Daniels and see how your favorite drink is made from start to finish. Top off your day with a Louisville whiskey tour.

Experience the tradition of one of Kentucky’s most popular industries with a classic whiskey tour. Bourbon first gained popularity as Bourbon whiskey, from Bourbon County, in the 18th and 19th centuries. Today, Bourbon is a signature industry that helps create nearly 10,000 jobs, generates more than $125 million in taxes each year and is a growing international symbol of Kentucky craftsmanship and tradition.

A whiskey tour is a great way to learn about the history of the spirit and the people who invented it, and to learn about the industry as it stands today. It’s also a wonderful way to see different parts of the area while visiting Louisville.

Created by the Kentucky Distillers’ Association in 1999, the Kentucky Bourbon Trail® distillery tour is one of the state’s most famous and unique attractions, with visitors from all 50 states and more than 50 countries. More than 1.7 million people have toured its distilleries in the last five years alone.

The tour gives visitors a firsthand look at the art and science of crafting Bourbon, and to educate them about the rich history and proud tradition of Kentucky’s signature spirit.

Six of Kentucky’s landmark distilleries are featured: Four Roses and Wild Turkey in Lawrenceburg; Heaven Hill in Bardstown; Jim Beam in Clermont; Maker’s Mark in Loretto and Woodford Reserve in Versailles. Each distillery’s tour is unique, and some offer specialty tours that can take longer. It’s recommended that visitors plan on spending at least an hour and a half at each distillery to tour and visit the gift shop and tasting room.

The distilleries vary in distance from one another. Some are as close as eight miles and others are as far as 70 miles. And of course since the tour takes place in Kentucky, the scenery is throughout the tour is beautiful.
